Each individual state has control over what the procedures and laws will be in in their state in order for an individual to receive an insurance license. In West Virginia, the unit that is in charge of overseeing the insurance regulations is the West Virginia Offices of the Insurance Commissioner. If you are wanting to be a Life and Health adjuster in the state of West Virginia, you will need to obtain a West Virginia Life and Health license and, before you can do that, you must pass a Life and Health insurance exam. The Life and Health licensing exams can cover a large amount of information and material. When you have fully finished your pre-licensing course, you will be given a certificate of course completion that is valid for 4 months. Once you schedule and pass your Life and Health exam, you will be given a passing score report that you will need when you submit your license application. You will need to submit your application through the West Virginia Offices of the Insurance Commissioner and, along with the passing score report, you will need to submit a completed adjuster application, fingerprints, and payment for the license fee that should be made to the West Virginia Insurance Commissioner. When you receive your license, you will be a Life and Health adjuster and you will be able to sell Life and Health policies in the state of West Virginia.
