Minnesota insurance licensing is administered by the Insurance Commissioner's office as part of the Minnesota Department of Commerce. All agents must first pass an insurance training course and the MN insurance license examination, and pay an upfront licensure fee.

Minnesota Pre-Licensing Insurance Agent Guide

All approved prelicensing examinations are administered by PSI Services, LLC. A list of locations and times to take tests can be found at the Department of Commerce's website Minnesota insurance licensing section. You can contact the Licensing Section by phone during normal government business hours (between 8am and 4:15pm) at 651-296-6319 with additional questions.
