If you are a practicing Life Insurance producer in the the state of Illinois, then you will need to know what the requirements are for you to keep your insurance license active and valid. The unit that oversees all of the CE insurance requirements and licenses in Illinois is the Illinois Department of Insurance. The Illinois Department of Insurance has mandated that in order to renew your Illinois Life Insurance license, you will need to complete 24 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years. 3 of the the CE hours will need to be in Ethics. In order for the CE credits to be valid it is necessary to take them from an accredited school. CPMI is an accredited CE school with Illinois and we are more than happy to help you in completing the required hours to renew your license. In Illinois your insurance license must be compliant within 10 days of your actual renewal date, so it is highly recommended you plan accordingly and plan on finishing all required CE hours with at least 30 days left on the current license. When you complete your CE credit course with us we will send the notification of the completed hours and course.
We have several continuing education courses that we offer Illinois Life Insurance producers to assist them in completing their CE credits. We offer two separate packages, both of them you will receive 24 hours of CE credits. The first package you will complete the 24 hours of CE and then will take a practice test at the end. The second package will test you as you complete the different sections of the 24 hour course. With either one, once you have finished the course you will have completed the requirements to renew your Illinois Life Insurance license.
