Illinois insurance CE must be completed by all resident licensed agents before renewal of their insurance producer license (once every two years). IL resident producers are required to have a total of 24 hours of approved continuing education courses on file with the Department. Three of your hours must be classroom Ethics training.

Especially where that group needs Illinois in-class ethics or if you have a recurring need on a regular basis, we have experience working throughout Illinois (not just in Chicago!) to help groups of licensed producers take care of their CE.

Illinois License Renewal Requirements
Time for your Illinois insurance license renewal? It's important to know:
- 24 hours of CE are required every 2 years.
- 3 of the 24 hours must be in class ethics.
- Online, textbook, or classroom courses are acceptable.
- Courses cannot be repeated for credit twice in the same renewal period.
- Up to 12 hours of credit can be carried forward to the next renewal period.
- You must pass your course completion examination with a 70% or better.
- Courses completion exams can be taken without a proctor and are open book.
- Any course approved for CE in Illinois may be taken for credit.
After you pass our course, we will send your completion information on to the state within one business day.
