Illinois insurance CE must be completed by all resident licensed agents before renewal of their insurance producer license (once every two years). IL resident producers are required to have a total of 24 hours of approved continuing education courses on file with the Department. Three of your hours must be approved webinar or classroom Ethics training.
New law signed 8/15/2018 allows required ethics credit to be completed in webinar classes!

Do you need to help a large group of students with their continuing education requirements? If you would like to schedule an In-house Ethics class for your organization, we have experience working throughout Illinois helping groups of licensed producers take care of their CE.
We are happy to provide a quote to organizations with groups of 15 students or more.
Illinois License Renewal Requirements
Time for your Illinois insurance license renewal? It's important to know:
- 24 hours of CE are required every 2 years.
- 3 of the 24 hours must be classroom or webinar ethics.
- Online, textbook, or classroom courses are acceptable.
- Courses cannot be repeated for credit twice in the same renewal period.
- Up to 12 hours of credit can be carried forward to the next renewal period.
- You must pass your course completion examination with a 70% or better.
- Course completion exams can be taken without a proctor and are open book.
- Any course approved for CE in Illinois may be taken for credit.
After you pass our course, we will send your completion information on to the state within one business day.
