IA Insurance Producer Continuing Education
Iowa insurance continuing education required credit hours must be completed every two years per the requirements of the Iowa Insurance Division.
All licensed resident producers working in major lines must complete 36 hours of CE every two years, including 3 hours of ethics to fulfill Iowa insurance license renewal requirements.
Iowa Insurance CE Requirements- IA renewal requires 36 hours of CE (including 3 hours of ethics).
- CE credits cannot carry over from one renewal period to another.
- One course may not be repeated twice in the same licensing renewal period for credit.
Crop only producers are required to complete 18 total hours, of which 3 must be in ethics.
Iowa Continuing Education ExemptionsActive duty servicemen and servicewomen are exempt from the Iowa CE requirement.
Under federal law, even exempt individuals must take the required LTC course before they can begin selling long term care policies.
